Description
We travel via the picturesque Natal Midlands to Giant’s Castle, situated in the Central Drakensberg region, famous for its rich floral diversity, rolling grasslands, San rock art and craggy cliffs, set below the sheer wall of the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg escarpment.
It provides excellent birding and Mountain scenic photographic opportunities. Here we spend the day taking a leisurely guided hike into the mountains, absorbing the spectacular scenery, viewing and learning about the San (Bushmen) Paintings (Rock Art) at Main Caves.
A delicious light lunch will be enjoyed before returning to Durban. Time permitting, we stop at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site (for own account).
