JULNIC TOURS, a SMALL dedicated team that makes GREAT things happen, was created and established in 2002 due to a passion for the tourism industry, a love for the beautiful South Africa, and an obsession about tourism transport service standards.
Based in Durban, JULNIC TOURS is a dynamic inbound and wheels tour operator, specializing in ground handling of group series tours, foreign business meetings, chauffeur drives, tailor-made tour itineraries for FIT’s, groups, incentives and pre- and post-conference tours.
Our company operates luxury vehicles which are in possession of all relevant carrier permits and passenger liability insurance. Various language interpreters and registered guides are available to ensure total client satisfaction.
Over the past 20 years, we have grown Julnic Tours into a successful, small dedicated team, who makes great things happen, prior to COVID-19 March 2020 servicing approx. 800 people per month with transfers and tours.
We are highly experienced in the handling of clients, ensuring that all services on route are of the highest standard. Our guides and drivers give their best attention to the clients and manage days with traffic, distance or other considerations in mind. The feedback received from both passengers and also tour leaders are exceptional – Our services are of a world-class standard. Our knowledge of itinerary planning is superb and we design tours and programmes of a very high standard.

Meet the Team Julnic Tours
Julius le Roux
The hand-picked team is led by Julius, also known as “Jules” or “Juju” who comes from an extensive corporate administration, financial, marketing and sales background. He worked primarily in the banking and mining sectors from 1978 to 2001. With a passion for travel, pleasing people and service standards, Julnic Tours was born in January 2002.
Julius’ bubbly personality, attention to detail, and above average service standards are well known in the industry, and liked by all.
His “big picture” attitude, flexibility and willingness to explore new horizons in the travel industry have led to many success stories and satisfied travelers, operators and pco’s.
Jan le Roux
After spending 18 months in the UK, Jan joined the Julnic family in August 2005. He is a huge history lover, a passionate amateur photographer, and a huge cricket fan.
Clients love his kind nature, knowledge, passion for history, wildlife and mountains, and thoroughly enjoy accompanying him on transfers.
Jan is really the “engine” that keeps everything of Julnic together. From reservations, quotes, infrastructure and staff planning and logistics to spending a lot of time on the road doing transfers, ensuring clients are receiving the best quality experience.
Themba Thethwayo
Passionately known as “Colgate” by fellow guides, service providers and clients, Themba started his Tour guiding career in 2005 and joined the Julnic family in July 2019. He offers exceptional experiences, is highly knowledgeable and extremely passionate about offering clients the best possible experience.
He is well experienced in guiding on FIT’s, small and large groups in Kwazulu-Natal and elsewhere in South Africa. His wide range of expertise includes Birding, Culture, KZN Battlefields and Wildlife.
An added bonus is that he speaks German and is loved by the German clients he’s dealt with.
We also have a pool of handpicked quality drivers and registered free-lance guides to assist and ensure total client satisfaction!
